The event begins with a walk on the red carpet at 4:30 PM and moves into the lobby of the Art Deco Eureka Theater. Within the lobby, guests mingle and schmooze with fellow movie fans, sampling delicious hors d'oeuvres, and enjoying fabulous cocktails and champagne from the no-host bar, while enjoying music from local favorite Michael Dayvid.
ABC's live telecast of the 92nd Annual Academy Awards will begin at 5:00 PM, projected on the big screen in the theater's auditorium. During commercial breaks the Film Commission’s local Film-Friendly awards will be given out, accompanied by videos, and music by RLA Trio. The local portion of the show will be hosted by Film Commissioner Cassandra Hesseltine and KAEF's Nazy Javid.
Advance tickets are $25, available at Annex 39 Antiques (610 F St, Eureka) next door to the Eureka Theater. Tickets at the door will be $30.
VIP tables will also available for $300 for a table seating six and $350 for a table seating eight. VIP tables include tickets, priority entry, 2 bottles of champagne, plated appetizers, and table service. Tables are limited. The event is generously sponsored by Fly Humboldt and the Redwood Region Economic Development Commission (RREDC).
