The Against the Wind Festival is a week of events at the Arcata Playhouse and was first created to draw attention to the nuclear threat to life on earth and to fuel a new voyage of the first nuclear protest vessel, the Golden Rule. Today the nexus between global warming, environmental degradation, defense spending and nuclear power has led to addressing broader issues threatening our world.
