Each Saturday, the Arcata Plaza turns into a bustling kaleidoscope of beautiful fresh flowers, colorful locally grown produce, and funky artisan goods created by North Coast crafts persons. Main Season: 9am-2pm (April - November) Winter Market: 10am-2pm (November -March)
Local farmers pride themselves on the quality and freshness of their produce and flowers, offering visitors to Arcata the rare treat of sampling the vibrant flavors of the North Coast. Along with seasonal vegetables and flowers, you can purchase local pork, chicken and beef, fresh eggs and goat cheese. Veggie, herb and flower starts are available for your home garden. Food court features farmers' market hot and prepared foods including mashed potato cones, hot tamales, Ethiopian dishes, fresh local baked goods, tea, coffee and bagels. Started over 20 years ago by a small group of farmers, the farmers market was one of the first certified in California. It has since blossomed to include over 100 members with an incredible diveristy of products grown, raised and produced from all over Humboldt County.
