Come check out the Black Liberation Month installation: Black History Timeline Tour. Created by the Black Humboldt 2025/2026 College Corp Fellows and hosted at participating local libraries during the month of February. Take a deep dive into Black history and its impact on the world today! Starting in 700 and winding through the centuries to today. You will learn about the African legacy, Caribbean history, Pan Africanism and the Harlem Renaissance, the reconstruction and civil rights era and the survivance of Black America today.
The installation is family friendly and free for all library visitors. Participating libraries include the Humboldt County Public Library's Eureka, Arcata, Fortuna, Ferndale, McKinleyville and Trinidad branches, in addition to the Cal Poly Humboldt Library in Arcata.
