Trying to find love is like trying to find a primary care physician in Humboldt: damn near impossible, and lucky if you find a keeper. Will I ever get my basic needs met? Is there a copay for love? Will the insurance company ever let me talk to a real person, or is it all advice from AI?
One good cure for this malaise we find ourselves living in is laughter. So, kick off the summer with loads of laughs as the performers tear up the stage with physical antics, desperate dreams, and comedic precision in a play full of the kind of people you'll recognize. Modern life infuses classic commedia comic satire in this outdoor show. Imagine thwarted lovers, controlling parents, a quagmire of self-serving saviors & insurance agents, and some people who are just trying to get through the workday unharmed.
Featuring stethoscopes galore, a cast of incredible “Dell’Artians”, the amazing band of Marla Joy, Tim Randles, Jeff Kelley, and Mike LaBolle—and even some pampered cats with their own inner monologues—LOVE’S THE BEST DOCTOR will be performed nightly in Dell’Arte’s amphitheater. The show is adapted and directed by Michael Fields with original tunes by Tim Randles.
