In celebration of the Annual Great Backyard Bird Count, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) invites you to explore the beauty of nature at the Ma-le’l Dunes Unit (South) from February 14–17. Guided Bird Walks at both 10:00 AM & 3:30 PM each day.
All 3:30 PM walks will feature a Spanish translator, making this event accessible for our Spanish-speaking community.
Get hands-on with the latest birding apps like Merlin and eBird! BLM staff and volunteers will be on-site to introduce you to the world of birding using these innovative tools. Come be part of a global research effort, helping us understand how our feathered friends use different habitats around the world! Let's make a difference, one bird at a time!
It’s a great opportunity to connect with nature, observe amazing birds, and join in on citizen science efforts! Take Highway 255 toward Manila and turn onto Young Lane. To the left is the Ma-le’l Dunes Unit (South) parking lot (with access to Manila Beach).
