The 2020 Humboldt History Symposium, which will be taking place (virtually) over the week of November 2.
The Humboldt History Symposium is a regional one day conference connecting professional and amateur local historians, representatives of regional historical organizations, including university faculty, students, and researchers in the local community. Our purpose is to energize our local and regional historical community in celebration of and engagement with historical narratives.
This project is being co-hosted by the Clarke Historical Museum and the Humboldt County Historical Society, and was made possible with support from California Humanities, a non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities, among other local organizations.
In compliance with California state mandates, and in consideration for the health and safety of our residents, public events and festivals have been cancelled or postponed. Before making plans, please check the event or festival website or Facebook page.
Some arts and culture events are now happening online. Check them out at our Events for Current Month page for more information.
