Morning Bird Walk
Join local bird enthusiasts Dan and Jody Greaney in finding and observing birds of the coastal forest. These guided walks through wooded trails and the Humboldt Botanical Garden are filled with interesting bird facts and inspiration to launch your own bird watching adventures. Dan is a retired teacher and author of "Bird Words from Blue Oak Country, a series of essays reflecting on the ways and wiles of birds." He leads monthly walks at Humboldt Botanical Garden and around the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary with the Redwood Region Audubon Society.
Guided bird walks at the Humboldt Botanical Garden are held every third Thursday of the month, rain or shine. Dress for weather and trail walking. Bring your binoculars and cameras. No dogs are allowed on the walk. It is held year-round and weather permitting.
Meet at the Humboldt Botanical Garden entry gate promptly at 9 am.
