Join the Gyppo Ale Mill & The Southern Humboldt Chamber of Commerce in the first annual Beach, Bacon & Beer Festival. Proceeds from this event will go to the Shelter Cove Pioneer’s Joe Lopes Scholarship Fund!
The weekend begins Friday night with a collaboration in the kitchen between Gyppo Ale Mill’s Chef Robert Mason and Southern Humboldt’s own, Lonny Whitlow. This dynamic duo will have a feast fit for a king, and you guessed it, pork is the theme! Add some live music by, Irie Rockers, and you have a win for the beginning of a fine weekend. The bacon and beer theme continues on as you join us at the Gyppo Ale Mill Saturday afternoon for Shuck, Slurp & Sip. Everyone loves Kyle from North Bay Shellfish! He’ll have bacon-themed barbecued and raw oysters plus Chef Bob will have an array of bacon oysters that will be perfect to go with the tasting. What tasting you might ask? We’re pleased to share that we’ve got a handful of breweries, cidery, and wineries joining us to taste their offerings. Your ticket to this event includes 2 appetizers but additional appetizer tickets can be purchased. Tickets for this portion of the event are $25 but again, buy the package and save!
Saturday isn’t quite over yet folks. Did you know that head brewer, Jared Smith is a man of many talents. Yes, he brews some kick-ass beer but he is also an amazing musician. Join us Saturday night when we welcome back the travel band that Jared is apart of, Second Son & The Rain Dogs. Cover cost for this $10 but hint, hint, check out the packages below.
Now that the fun has been had, we’ll wrap up the culinary experience Sunday morning with Bacon & Brunch. Join us for a delicious bacon-themed brunch menu that includes, wait for it… bottomless Mimosas and Michaladas* Chef Robert Mason never disappoints and this brunch menu is no exception. The cost of this portion is $30 but one more time, buy the package and save!
