Situated amongst towering ancient redwoods on a bend of the majestic Eel River.
The Mateel Community Center presents the 2019 Summer Arts and Music Festival. The 43rd annual event takes place at Benbow State Recreation Area in Garberville.
Tickets are now available for purchase online through Eventbrite. The two-day advance ticket weekend pass price is $40, single day advance tickets are $22.50. Tickets are available at the gate for $45 for a weekend pass and $25 per day. Kids 12 and under are admitted free of charge accompanied by paid adult.
This year the festival will increase the emphasis on music offered on four stages. Confirmed for Sunday, June 2nd is a triple package with West Coast style reggae bands: Long Beach Dub All Stars, The Aggrolites and Tomorrows Bad Seeds. Also confirmed for Summer Arts 2019 are Nattali Rize from Australia and local favorites, singer songwriter harmony trio from Mendocino County – The Real Sarahs and Humboldt County reggae rock band: Irie Rockers.
Many more bands and performing artists will be confirmed over the next several weeks to perform on Summer Arts 2019.
Festival goers can expect two days of 150+ craft vendors, a wide selection of local food booths, a fun Kids Zone, Belly Dance Temple and Generation Green Area!
The festival is located 2 miles south of Garberville on Hwy 101. Paid parking available in Benbow. Free parking and free shuttle service from Redway, Garberville, Meadows Business Park, and the Bear Pen lot (on Benbow Dr. south of the festival venue).
