Humboldt County’s First Creative Reuse Center!
Open Monday-Saturday 11am-6pm
In SCRAP Humboldt's Creative Reuse Center retail store, all of the materials are donated by individuals, local businesses or organizations. These donations are processed, organized and made available in our retail store. Our space is stocked with traditional and non-traditional arts, crafts and office supplies. The inventory is constantly changing and evolving, so you never know what you might find! Together we can keep usable materials out of the waste stream and get them into the hands of local artists, teachers, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, businesses, and community members.
SCRAP Humboldt is a project of SCRAP, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to inspire creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing educational programs and affordable materials to the community.
SCRAP Humboldt offers exciting educational programming to individuals and community members of all ages. Take a class or drop in and make something in The (Re)Workshop, SCRAP Humboldt's education space. Outfitted with tools, worktables and materials, The (Re)Workshop is a space dedicated to creating creative people.
We are located in the SoSa (South of Samoa) neighborhood in Arcata, California. SCRAP Humboldt is housed within the Marsh Commons next to the Arcata Marsh, and down the street from Arcata Scrap & Salvage, Redwood Curtain Brewing Company, and RampArt Skate Park.
