Shaw House Inn

This beautiful Victorian, built in 1854, is wonderfully restored.

Shaw House has been featured in Sunset Magazine and The San Francisco Chronicle.

The first and most lovely home in Ferndale sits on an acre of private park. You are surrounded by 100+ year old maples, cedars, walnut, spruce, rhododendrons, heirloom roses, giant sequoias and of course, ancient redwoods.

The tranquility of the garden moves into the parlors and guest rooms filled with antiques, sunlight and comfort.

All rooms have:

  • Private bathroom
  • Flat screen TV with Amazon Fire Stick
  • Free WiFi
  • DVD player & DVDs
  • Memory foam mattress pads
  • Access to the private gardens, our full library, two parlors with fireplaces, and off street parking.

We also have 3 pet friendly rooms.

Our mornings offer freshly ground coffee, scones warm from the oven, frittatas and sausages or maybe an almond french toast with raspberry sauce... A full breakfast is included.

We have electric kettles with a great selection of teas and fresh homemade cookies every afternoon.

After breakfast, take a stroll in town, or drive the few miles to the beach or the Avenue of the Giants.

From Hwy 101, take the Fernbridge/Ferndale exit. At Fernbridge, take Hwy 211 across the Eel River Bridge, traveling west. The distance is 5 miles to Ferndale. Hwy 211 turns into Main Street. Shaw House Inn is at 703 Main Street.
