Come and be part of this annual Thanksgiving Day tradition.
This is a unique community holiday event and a wonderful way to give thanks and immerse yourself in the spirit of the season. Thanksgiving at 10:00 a.m. in front of the Trinidad Memorial Lighthouse at the corner of Trinity and Edwards Streets.
Join the crews of the local fishing fleet as they give thanks for the bountiful harvest of the season and receive a blessing for the upcoming season. Kayakers are specifically included.
A group of hard-working commercial fishermen’s wives and loved ones put on this event every year to send some good energy out to all of our local fishermen. There will be a traditional Native blessing to the four directions followed by a non-denominational blessing.
Trinidad Rancheria will once again warm us up with fresh coffee, hot chocolate and snacks.
Each year the Trinidad School 4th grade students draw pictures of the fishing boats. One will be used for next year’s poster. Be sure to check out their colorful art display that will be hanging along the fence at Trinidad Bay Bed and Breakfast across from the Memorial Lighthouse.
In the event of rain we will be moving to the Trinidad Town Hall.
