47th Annual Show Hosted by the Fortuna Garden Club. One of the most "cordial" daffodil shows in Northern California.
The show consists of two parts. One part highlights daffodils in floral arrangements expressing assigned themes and challenges. Some arrangements are miniature that must be contained within a 5 inch diameter. Beautiful and creative arrangements with some of the best in our youth categories are a hit with all our visitors. Exhibits by Fortuna Camera Club, UC Master Gardeners, American Daffodil Society and Fortuna Garden Club.
The other part of the show is all about the amazing diversity in shape, color and size of the daffodil. With thirteen classification divisions and numerous ways to present, no one can walk away without the shocking realization that daffodils are not just yellow.
The Riverlodge is a very special setting for the show. Its large windows overlooking the Eel River brings light even on the darkest of days to back light the daffodils as they pose for us all to see, learn and remember.
Support comes from the City of Fortuna including of course the Riverlodge and it’s staff, and others like Wes Green Landscaping, Floral judges from The National Garden Club, Inc and the American Daffodil Society/Northern California Daffodil Society, California Conservation Corp and the hardworking members of the Fortuna Garden Club.
