The second annual Eureka Fringe Festival! Humboldt County is home to more performing artists per capita than just about anywhere in the United States. The Eureka Fringe will be an homage to the this heritage.
What is a Fringe Theatre Festival?
Fringe theatre is theatre that is experimental in style or subject matter.The Fringe started life when eight theatre companies turned up uninvited to the inaugural Edinburgh International Festival in 1947. In London, the fringe are small-scale theatres, many of them located above pubs, and the equivalent to New York's Off-Off-Broadway theatres.
