Historical Luxury meets Fine Dining at the Benbow Inn Restaurant 

The Benbow Historic Inn has long been known to locals and travelers abroad for its breathtaking Mountain setting, unparalleled Eel River views and rich, unique history. Paired with its own quaint exit from Highway 101 (exit 636) and nestled among the Redwoods, the Benbow Inn Restaurant is a hit for any guest, whether seeking a refreshing break from the road or planning a romantic getaway. 

Seasonal outside dining beneath the stars on our beautiful Terrace offers views of the Historical Stone Bridge and Eel River, and serves as a romantic setting second-to-none in Northern California. The Benbow Lounge has long been a host to locals, seeking a ”Gatsbyesque” atmosphere. Popular among hotel guests is our ‘Gable Table’, located in our Dining Room that served as a personal favorite for Clark Gable during his visits in the 1920’s.  Complimentary to hotel guests is the Benbow Tradition of freshly served scones and High Tea each afternoon from 3pm – 4pm in our Historical Lobby. As we proudly boast to our guests, ‘Come for the Scones, Stay for the Magic’. 

Only the freshest produce (Some from our own private Hotel garden), finest seafood and high-quality meats are brought to our kitchen. Rising star Executive Chef Dustin Vallance brings his passion for food and wine creating several delightful pairings that were featured in our Winemaker Dinner Series and our Humboldt Restaurant Week special.  For our younger crowd, a special children’s menu is available, in addition to a unique Vegan Menu for our plant-conscious friends. 

The Benbow Historic Inn Restaurant boasts a Wine Spectator Award Winning wine list, offering over 450 selections, including an array of local favorites from Humboldt, Sonoma, Mendocino and Napa Counties. 

We invite all of our guests to join us in the lounge for weekday Happy Hour, Monday – Friday from 4pm – 6pm, featuring ½ off all beverages, including our unique cocktail fusions. For our weekend warriors, we also offer our Famous $3 Mimosa’s every weekend from 8am to 3pm

Sunday - Thursday, 5:00pm – 9:30pm
Friday – Saturday, 5:00pm – 10:00pm
Afternoon Tea & Scones:
