View one of the finest collections of Hupa, Yurok, and Karuk artifacts in northern California.
The collection includes a fine display of local indigenous basketry, ceremonial regalia, redwood dugout canoes, tools, and implements used by the Hupa, Yurok, and Karuk tribes.
Guided tours of Hoopa Valley's historic sites, including the traditional village of Takimildiñ, are available through the museum by appointment. Group rates are available, and a nominal fee is charged.
Located in the Hoopa Valley Reservation, the museum offers a unique opportunity to learn about the culture of one of California's first peoples and explore a setting abundant in both natural beauty and history.
