For nearly 100 years, Sequoia Park has been a community treasure. At the heart of the 67-acre park are the redwood trees. Developed trails, stairways, bridges and corduroy roads make this an easy adventure. Walk or bicycle the paths through the redwoods, a duck pond and two small creeks. Sequoia Creek Trail is a paved 3/4 mile wheelchair (and stroller) accessible trail heading west from the duck pond through the forest and meadows.
The park has picnic areas and two playgrounds. And of course a visit to the Sequoia Park and Zoo would not be complete without a stroll through the seasonal flower garden bursting with blooms, bees and hummingbirds. Drop a penny in the wishing well for good luck.
Dogs are allowed in redwood trails (not the zoo), on a leash.
Sequoia Park Zoo has events happening year round, so check out their calendar to see when special events are happening at the zoo.
