With meticulously tended greens and lovely Humboldt County views, the nine-hole, par-35 PGA rated Benbow Golf Course is one of Northern California’s most challenging golf courses near the Lost Coast and the Avenue of the Giants. Surrounded by lush Redwood Forests the Golf Course winds through the picturesque Benbow Valley in Garberville and overlooks the Eel River. The course boasts two sets of tees to allow players to play 18 holes. Described by many as very “unforgiving,” players are often surprised to discover how challenging this golf course can be. The ideal warm summer weather at Benbow Golf Course makes it a favorite destination for visitors looking to get out of the cold coastal fog or looking to cool down from California’s central valley heat. Guests of the Benbow Hotel & RV Resort have a special green fee that allows for unlimited play for the entire day. The course offers a set of tees for the junior or beginning golfer making this a perfect family activity.

Our pro-shop sells all the golfing essentials you need for success on the course.  Purchase tees, divot repair tools, clubs, socks, hats, visors, summer attire, sunscreen, towels, gloves, and golf balls.

Rentals
From clubs to golf carts, our rental department will get you outfitted for a day on the green. We offer left and right-handed golf clubs for men, women and juniors, and we rent both hand push carts and gas-powered Yamaha carts. 

Putting Green
Practice your putting and improve your chipping skills on our manicured putting green flanked with sand bunkers. Located near the first tee.
