Eureka – Nonstop service from Humboldt County (ACV) to Denver International Airport (DEN) will start in June 2019, United Airlines and Redwood Region Economic Development Commission announced this week.
United will start the service with a 50-seat regional jet once per day starting June 7, 2019. Tickets are already available for purchase.
The outbound flight will depart Eureka at 6:30 am and arrive in Denver at 10 am. The inbound one will depart Denver at 7 pm and arrive in Eureka at 8:50 pm.
“A nonstop flight to Denver International is a great addition to our air service options,” said Cody Roggatz, Director of the Humboldt County Department of Aviation. “We know that service to an eastern hub is a popular concept with the flying public and Denver service will become a real asset to the citizens and businesses throughout Humboldt County.”
Recruiting and retaining air service has been a top focus of the Redwood Region Economic Development Commission (RREDC, pronounced REE dack) since 2003. In 2011, RREDC joined with community members, businesses, and organizations to create “Fly Humboldt,” a collaborative effort to increase air service and support our local airport. Since that time, it has been actively working to add more flights to more destinations.
“I want to thank United Airlines for adding Denver to their local service. This will make connecting to the Midwest, East Coast and beyond even easier,” said Gregg Foster, executive director of RREDC.
